Lillie Zelma Cox Shieds was born on May 24,1930 in Jefferson, Georgia, to the late O.K. and Lula Cox. She departed her life on Thursday, September 08, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband Willie Burt Shields; her parents O.K. Columbus Cox and Lula Smith Cox ; two brothers Willie Ed Cox and Dorsey Cox ; one sister Julie Pearl Cox Dotson; one granddaughter Akeena Sheats. 





Lillie was a member of Georgia Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia. She was very giving and honest person. Lillie enjoyed shopping, attending church, sewing and caring for children. She also had a passion for Buick vehicles and stylish hats.







She is survived by her daughter Geraldine Sheats (Eddie); grandchildren Jerrod Sheats and Kahlilah Sheats ; great grandchildren Justin Raye Roberts II, Dariana Martin; Jakaylah Roberts; and Durante Speer (DJ); as well as a host of sisters, brothers, nieces,nephew family members and friends.
