Nancy Espy

Nancy P. Cox Espy went home to be with the Lord on November 6, 2001. She was born on June 29, 1908 in Statham, Georgia to the alte Ed and Emma Hunter Cox. She was one of nine children. She attended Fairfield public school in Statham, Ga. There she was baptized at Fairfield Baptist Church. She married the late Richard Thomas Espy on December 29, 1932. They eventually moved to Pine Brook, New Jersey. There Nancy worked for Industrial Plastics for many years before moving to Montclair and soon retiring. 


 

Nancy became a member of the St. Paul Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Senior Citizen Auxiliary. Also, she was an active member of the North Fullerton Neighborhood Club.


 

She was preceded in death by her husband Richard, her sisters: Maggie and Fannie, her brothers: Early Mat, Jean, Dorsey, Morgan, OK, and FC. 


 

She leaves to cherish her memory her sister, Birdell Hunder; daughter, Caren Renee Haynes; grandchildren, Dana Williams, Rosemarie, Dominique, and Brandon Haynes. Great-grandson, Antoine Williams; son-in-law, Herbert Haynes; sisters-in-law, Emma Espy, Lula Espy, Essie Espy, Nancy Hunter, and Lula Cox, loving nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
