Morgan Carlton Cox was born February 14, 1898 to Emma Hunter Cox and Edward Cox in Jefferson, Georgia. He was one of nine children born to this marriage.

He leaves to cherish his memory beloved sisters, Mattie, Brenda, Shirlean, Pauline, Okie L., Elease, Nancy Ruth, Annie Lucille, Ruby, and his brothers, Joe and Bobby; son, Rogers; and 3 grandchildren. We celebrate the life of a dynamic woman, Margaret J. Johnson, Born on October 8th 1934 as the second child of 7 and only daughter of Daniel and Bessie Cox. At the age of two, she and the family moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, where she spent most of her formative years.
Margaret was a very self assured and confident person. As a young child, she was so confident that she once thought the annual parade (held close to her birthday) was in her honor. She informed her Nuns/teachers that she would no longer do the pledge of allegiance as there was no “liberty and justice for all”. This sense of compassion carried over into her adulthood. Danny Cox, born on July 18, 1943, in Cincinnati, Ohio, was the seventh of eight children to Bessie and Daniel Cox. From a young age, his heart was filled with music, and he sang in the church choir alongside his childhood friend, Rudolph Isley. Danny’s professional music career began in the 1960s when he started the Hottenanny Folk Tour, which he later performed on alongside his sister, Margaret Cox.
In 1967, Danny moved to Kansas City, where his career truly flourished. He performed at iconic local venues like the Vanguard Coffee House and the Cowtown Ballroom, earning a devoted following. Throughout his career, Danny recorded albums for major labels such as ABC D...

1946-07-11 2022-11-07Charles was born on July 11th, 1946, in Montclair, New Jersey to the late Lula Mae Cox and Rozie Lee Espy. He grew up and attended public schools in Montclair. Every summer, he spent a few weeks with his family in Statham, Georgia with memories he always reminisced about. In 1963 he met the love of his life, Evelyn. In 1965, he enlisted and served four years in the United States Marine Corp. During this time, he served 13 months in Vietnam. Charles was very proud of having served his country as a Marine.
